Your dog earns a spot on the boat too, and the Dog Bed gives them a dry, comfortable place to settle so you can keep your hands on the wheel. It sits low to the deck so they stay planted when the bow lifts, and it is filled so they can circle once and flop.

The cover is the same waterproof marine vinyl as the captain’s seat: wet dog, salt, mud, or a fish slid across the deck all wipe clean, and the tough vinyl takes the claws and the daily beating. Inside, virgin beads never soak up water, so the bed won’t go soggy or smelly the way a foam bed does.

Same build your crew’s seats are known for. Thicker, stronger, better. The vinyl is double the thickness of other brands, and a double-locked stitch and a thread size stronger than other brands stand up to sun, salt, and spray. Full materials and ratings are in Features.

All dimensions are approximate. The 8" is panel height; filled, the bed settles to about 5" high. Sizing reference: the dog shown is an Australian Shepherd, 29" long, 31 lb.

  • Cover: 26 oz, 100% virgin marine vinyl, roughly 1.10mm thick, double-lock stitched with thread 40% heavier than the industry standard.
  • Fill: 100% virgin polystyrene (EPS) beads, water-resistant, 1 to 3mm to hold shape and resist matting.
  • Hardware: YKK marine-grade zipper (refillable with E-Sea Beads).
    Treatments: mildew-treated and antimicrobial.
  • Tested to: cold crack at -10°F, 1500-hour Weatherometer, Wyzenbeek heavy-duty abrasion, ASTM D-3690 Class A, MVSS 302, and CA Tech Bulletin 117 Section E.
  • Care: hose clean, dry flat.
